Ten years, still chasing the same feeling.
I’ve been photographing people for about a decade now, and the thing that hooked me early still hasn’t worn off — the half-second where everyone forgets the camera and you get the real version of them.
I went to Colorado State and never left. Fort Collins is home, and most of my work happens within an hour of it: foothills at golden hour, reception halls, front porches, the trail by the reservoir. Northern Colorado is a ridiculous place to be handed a camera and I’ve never gotten over it.
What I care about most is that you actually like the people in your photographs — including yourself. So we talk first, I learn what your day is supposed to feel like, and then I mostly stay out of its way. I’d rather know you a little than hand over a gallery of strangers looking their best.

What a session feels like
Unhurried, a bit chatty, and genuinely low pressure. Here’s the honest version.
You will not be posed to death
I’ll set you up and then get out of the way. Most of what I keep happens between the directions.
Awkward is allowed
Nobody feels natural for the first ten minutes. That’s normal, and it’s built into the time.
Light comes first
I’ll push for the hour before sunset when I can. It’s the single biggest difference in a gallery.
You get the real files
A private gallery in about two weeks, with 50 to 100+ edited images depending on the package, and the rights to print them anywhere.

The details that don’t fit anywhere else.

- I shoot a Sony A7 III, usually with a 24–70mm on the body and a 50mm f/1.8 in my pocket
- Golden hour is not a preference, it’s a scheduling requirement
- Your galleries reach you in about two weeks — I’d rather edit well than fast
- TODO — one genuinely personal line here: the dog, the coffee order, the hobby that isn’t photography. Specific beats charming.
