Booking
How far in advance should I book?
Weddings are usually booked TODO to TODO months out, and fall dates go first. Portrait sessions typically need TODO to TODO weeks of notice.
What holds my date?
A signed contract and a TODO% retainer. Until both are complete the date stays open to other inquiries, even if we have been emailing.
Is the retainer refundable?
The retainer is non-refundable because it takes the date off the calendar. If you need to move your date, TODO — describe the reschedule policy here.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Wedding collections can be split into TODO payments across the months before your date at no additional cost.
The session
What should we wear?
TODO — Delaney’s real advice here. Generally: coordinate rather than match, pick one colour family, and choose clothes you can move in. A styling guide is sent after booking.
What if it rains?
Light rain often makes better photographs than full sun. If the weather is genuinely unworkable we reschedule at no charge, usually decided the day before.
What time of day do you shoot?
The hour before sunset whenever possible. It is the single biggest difference in how a gallery looks.
Can we bring our dog?
Please do. Bring someone who can take them home afterwards, and check that the location allows pets.
We are not photogenic. Help.
Nobody is for the first ten minutes. That is built into the session, and you will get direction any time you want it.
After the shoot
When do we get our photos?
Portrait galleries arrive in about TODO weeks and weddings in about TODO weeks. A small preview set goes out within TODO days.
How many photos will we get?
Roughly TODO images per hour of coverage. I deliver every frame worth keeping rather than counting to a number.
Can we print them ourselves?
Yes. Every collection includes a full print release, so you own the right to print your images anywhere.
Do you edit every photo?
Every delivered image is colour-corrected and finished. Retouching beyond that is available on request.
Will our photos be posted online?
I may share favourites on Instagram and on this site. If you would rather I didn’t, just say so — there is an opt-out in the contract.
Travel
Where are you based?
Fort Collins, Colorado, shooting throughout Northern Colorado — Loveland, Greeley, Windsor, Estes Park and the Front Range.
Do you travel?
Happily. Travel within TODO miles is included; beyond that it is billed at TODO. Destination weddings are quoted individually.
